Uniwiki is a project set up by Merrick Schaefer, Mark Johnston, Evan Wheeler and Adam Mckaig to improve MediaWiki's usability for UNICEF projects [1] engaging young people in developing countries. These extensions have also proven valuable to improve the usability of MediaWiki for other users.
During the Wikimania 2008 Merrick also gave a presentation[2] about this project.
