@Bageense Are you asking why you can't translate articles from the Portuguese Wikipedia to the English Wikipedia? If so, it's because the English Wikipedia community has chosen to disable the content translation tool for new users.
Crap. How can I not be a "new user" anymore?
@Bageense: That's weird.. you're not a new user... yet you also did use the tool (yikes). In the future, you might want to create something like that in draftspace, but I'm not exactly sure what issue you are having there specifically.
Also, please ping me for faster responses. :)
@MJL: Well, the tool published the article, but I had to write that text manually, for the translator didn't work. It never does. But I translate from english to portuguese with no problem. For example: https://pt.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Teodiceia_agostiniana&diff=55565873
@Bageense, Thank you for pinging me. I just tried this process myself and had it fail on both English Wikipedia and Wikipedia in Scots. However, I did have success translating it in . You might like to try that, but I guess Machine translation is disabled otherwise. Maybe @Vermont would know because they are smarting than me..?
Not particularly sure; I have very little experience making articles with Content translation, and 0 experience writing with machine translation other than deleting bad ones. I’m not sure what the issue is, but I will say it’s better to translate it yourself as machine translations aren’t always accurate. It could be that it requires NPP rights on the English Wikipedia to use it.
Actually, Google Translator is quite accurate nowadays
@Vermont I have those rights as of recently. :/
Machine Translation for English Wikipedia is not available yet.
