How do I disable by default the hovercard on a link to the Main Page? Some wikis have the main page in project namespace. Among wikis with the main page in main namespace, I noted some wikis do not show the hovercard on this link, i.e. en.wiki, it.wiki, while others show the hovercard, i.e. ca.wiki, ro.wiki.

Just to be sure I understand, you're asking to disable Hovercards for just the Main Page?
Right. The hovercard for the Main Page with the image of the day and no text is confusing. I wonder how it has been disabled on some wikis.
I think this has to do with Hovercards only working in the content namespaces. Looking at the settings for Wikimedia wikis, nothing stands out to me to confirm that. That's just a guess though. :) Let me ask around and see if I can find out if this is true (Hovercards and the Project namespace) and if there's a setting to disable/enable.
Sorry. I do not remember how I checked it, but in fact it is not disabled on wikis I thought it was. Some temporary glitch I suppose. I thought there was some workaround, but there is no need to bother with a simple link.
