Toolserver:Admin:Cassia

Toolserver has been replaced by Toolforge. As such, the instructions here may no longer work, but may still be of historical interest.

cassia is a database server. It is currently waiting on a replacement for its broken RAID card, after which it will become the redundant/fast server for s2 and s5.

Not to be confused with cassini, the OpenStreepMap server.

10.02.2010:

cassia was broken when it arrived; Sun sent a replacement RAID card. The new card was installed 2010-02-24 but didn't work either, so the problem seems to be somewhere else; we probably need an engineer to come and look at it.

01.12.2011:

Cassia alerted the temperature was high. Some fans were not rotating. The host had a broken fan board which was replaced by Oracle. Now it is up & running again serving s5.
