Hi all,

When I try to embed an image, whether one uploaded within Mediawiki or an external image, using the file namespace prefix, instead of rendering the image it links to the Special:Upload page with an additional &wpDestFile parameter with the URL of the image. I have both $wgWEnableUploads and $wgAllowExternalImages set to true in my LocalSettings.php file, which also contains a $wgFileExtensions parser with an appropriate array including the relevant image extensions. There is nothing else in my LocalSettings.php file that suggests a solution, problem, or even a clue.

This is a MediaWiki install that I am taking over, so I don't know what the previous admin has changed and am new to the CMS overall, so I don't really have any ideas on where to look. Has anybody experienced this before or have any suggestions? Many thanks!

MediaWiki -- 1.16.0 PHP -- 5.3.2 MySQL -- 5.1.41

Installed extensions: PdfExport -- 2.4.2 AuthDrupal

I forgot to add a URL where the problem can be seen: http://memprotein.org/wiki/Sandbox. Here i've tried to embed both a locally uploaded and externally hosted image.

That's not the right syntax. I made an edit to your sandbox to demonstrate - . See help:Images and manual:$wgAllowExternalImages for details.
