Template talk:Anchor

See w:Template:Anchor is not directly portable to Wikia. Just writing wikipedia: instead of w: could fix that, but actually a /doc sub-page or an inline <noinclude> documentation for should be added here.

Replacing obscure template categories, here [[:Category:Templates{{#translation:}}]], in imported templates is no big issue, but I haven't the faintest idea what it tries to do, there is no translation.</nowiki>

Flow oddity, without login contributors cannot edit their comments even if their IP happens to be the same within five minutes. EDIT: s/for should/should/

I don't think templates on MediaWiki.org are guaranteed or even expected to be exportable to other wiki sites

done. Thanks Danny.

Hi all, document w:Template:Anchor shows use of only one parameter. Describing 11 parameters here supposes users can call the same anchor via 2nd, 3rd ... or nth symbol. Is that true, or what is the use of these additional cases ?

If you look at w:Template:Anchor#TemplateData, you'll see that the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc. parameters can be used to add a second, third, etc anchor at the same place. For example, {{anchor|foo|bar}} is the same as {{anchor|foo}}{{anchor|bar}} - does this make sense?

Wladek92 (talkcontribs)

that means each one is referencing the same place ?

DannyS712 (talkcontribs)

yes, the anchors point to whereever the template is placed
