I would like to ask about the Phone number, why is it obligatory to add it?!

Adding a link to registration

I dont habe a QR-Code-Scanner-App. Please add as an alternative a link to the registration form. I live in Germany and I am just interested in general in the registration form after I saw the question above about changing the form to make the phone number not mandatory.
