VisualEditor adoption edit

You might be able to get some of the numbers you want from http://ee-dashboard.wmflabs.org/dashboards/enwiki-metrics# It's not ideal, but you could download http://datasets.wikimedia.org/public-datasets/enwiki/ve/edits_api.csv to get the number of "actual" edits (vs API-based edits) each hour and http://datasets.wikimedia.org/public-datasets/enwiki/revtags/ve_hourly_by_ui.csv to get the number of VisualEditor edits each hour (bots are excluded from that count), and combine them – at least for the wikis that have this dashboard.

I believe that Undo is considered an "actual" edit (even though the user has no choice). I don't know how AWB and Twinkle edits are counted. It's not ideal, but it might give you something approximate as a starting point. Whatamidoing (WMF) (talk) 17:19, 6 August 2015 (UTC)Reply
