Talk:Toolserver:List of Wikimedia bots
This page was moved from the Toolserver wiki.
Toolserver has been replaced by Toolforge. As such, the instructions here may no longer work, but may still be of historical interest.
Please help by updating examples, links, template links, etc. If a page is still relevant, move it to a normal title and leave a redirect.
This list doesn't seem complete - or is the list of bots on the toolserver smaller than the list of bots on the projects? In any case, I'm helping out on Wikiversity's "Wikimedian demographics" project, and am looking for a bot that can do the following things:
- count the number of pages in a category, and then log it on the category page.
- compare the number of pages in linked categories (for example, of all pages in category x, n pages are also in category y)
Do any come to mind? If anyone's interested, it would really help if a tech-savvy person could eyeball that project to see what kinds of tools it might need, or, if necessary, how it might be restructured. Cheers, Cormaggio 12:28, 29 January 2008 (UTC)
Page needs work
editCurrent issues:
- having dozens of section headers with only one bot below them seems like a rather silly way to present this information;
- lead is misleading (this list is nowhere near complete);
- not sure if separating by project is ideal;
- might be better as a table.

- We had an attempt to combine repititive data already which was not seen a helpful, and given up. --77.182.131.38 14:23, 20 June 2011 (UTC)
