@QChrisNonWMF can I give a test run of parts of my new design for this page please. if it gets negative input please revert. I also added a mediawiki biggest user section at bottom I also gave some colour for the boxes.

I don't like blue colour in header, it's too bright or something. And orange colour (download button) on blue background looks not good. Otherwise it looks fine.

Hi for the rss please add date of publish. Also when mediawiki releases new version please could there be a new article created for that like before please.
In theory, the format of the entries can be customized at MediaWiki:Rss-feed. See Extension:RSS#Templates_for_channel_subelements_and_styling_the_RSS_Feed.
