I tried to add myself to the list of publishers. I filled my name in the publishers list and hit update. The result was https://www.mediawiki.org/w/index.php?title=Newsletter:Newsletter%C2%B2&diff=prev&oldid=2719727 -- what's going on?

This was caused by a bug unrelated to the Newsletter extension which has been fixed in the meantime.

Trying to add my username to the list of publishers results in failure. My username does not appear in the dropdown, while similar ones do.

This is a placeholder marker. The thread that was started with that title has now been moved to the archive as part of the conversion of this talk page to a Flow board. Further discussion should occur here and not there.
