Details
populatePPSortKey.php is a maintenance script that populates the pp_sortkey fields in the page_props table.
pp_sortkey can be used for efficient queries and sorted by the property value. It processes 100 items in every batch. This script runs by default when you run update.php.
Options
This script does not take any options.
Usage
php maintenance/run.php populatePPSortKey

In MediaWiki version 1.39.12 and earlier, you must invoke maintenance scripts using
php maintenance/scriptName.php instead of php maintenance/run.php scriptName.
