Hello Tiven, thanks a lot for your interest :-) We'd love to enable the beta feature on Marathi wiki! It would be great if you could check back with your language community first though, to see if a few more people are interested in testing the feature in this early stage. Here is an example from the Wikisource community - [1] & [2]. Let me know if you need more information or anything else! NoCommons

Hello,

there are many files in the de.wikipedia that are automaticly tagged with nocommons, because they should have individual review. That is important because the PD-tags are often not enough for Commons. But there aren't tags, which are enough for Commons, for many PD file, that we could import to Commons, on the de.wikipedia. For example: There are many PD-alt-100 images - images that are older than 100 years, where the author in unknown -, that are older than 120 years (for example de:Datei:''Marie'' Haug ∞ Carl Ferdinand Pistorius, Foto Neapel um 1862, Abzug auf Albuminpapier um 1862.jpg), so that we are able to import them to Commons with PD-old-assumed. But the FileImporter, doesn't allow to do anything, if there a NoCommons-tag. So I think, we should allow to use the FileImporter for File with NoCommons. The FileImporter should make a warning text to the NoCommons Tag, and the User must add the right Commons-tag, before he/she Import the File. Habitator terrae (talk) 16:28, 8 October 2018 (UTC)

As far as the software is concerned, NoCommons means NoCommons. If these files need individual review, why not do this and remove the NoCommons template before moving a file to Commons? Thiemo Kreuz (WMDE) 08:53, 9 October 2018 (UTC)

Now I wanted to import the file de:Datei:''Marie'' Haug ∞ Carl Ferdinand Pistorius, Foto Neapel um 1862, Abzug auf Albuminpapier um 1862.jpg (150 years old and only a Foundation as author, so unknow author ==> allowed on Commons with PD-old-assumed). I removed the NoCommons tag with "Commons=ja". Then I read "The file cannot be imported, because it is not marked with one of the required licences.", yes is has not the license tag to import the file to Commons, but there is no license tag on the de.wp like PD-old-assumed, because we don't need it. I suggest to bring this topic up at de:WP:DÜP or the corresponding discussion page on Wikimedia Commons. The current community consensus documented at Extension:FileImporter/Data/de.wikipedia#Bad 2 is to not allow transfers of files with a de:Template:Bild-PD-alt-100. the use of nocommons on edge cases is a symptom of lack of trust among communities. it is a soft issue not a code issue. the communities need to work it out, and the tool will reflect that consensus. Slowking4 (talk) 15:47, 14 January 2019 (UTC)

Nach dem Dateiimport erscheint die Hinweismeldung

"Wir bitten dich, dass du zur Originaldatei zurückkehrst und das Folgende unternimmst:

1. Entferne alle Vorlagen, die vorschlagen, dass diese Datei nach Wikimedia Commons kopiert werden soll.
2. Ergänze eine Vorlage, die erklärt, dass diese Datei jetzt auf Wikimedia Commons verfügbar ist.

Vielen Dank!"

Schön, wäre es, wenn unter Punkt 2 der Hinweis "eine Vorlage" durch den Vorlagennamen ersetzt wird.

Noch schöner wäre es, wenn die Vorlage automatisch bei der Vorlage gesetzt wird Z thomas (talk) 06:29, 10 October 2018 (UTC)

Danke für den Vorschlag. Leider sind die NowCommons-Vorlagen kein Teil der Software, sondern ein Teil des jeweiligen lokalen Community-Prozesses, und heißt auf vielen Quell-Wikis anders, zum Beispiel fr:Modèle:Image sur Commons. Der Aufwand zur Pflege von an alle Quell-Wikis individuell angepassten Nachrichten wäre zu hoch. In vielen Sprachen wäre der Hinweistext schnell veraltet und dann für den Benutzer noch weniger hilfreich als der momentane, allgemein gehaltene Text. Solche Aufgaben werden besser von Bots übernommen, die Dateiduplikate erkennen und passend markieren. Thiemo Kreuz (WMDE) 11:27, 10 October 2018 (UTC)

Ah, vielen Dank für die Antwort. Gibt es die Möglichkeit zusätzlich zu den lokalen Vorlagen eine globale Vorlage zu erstellen, die in allen Sprachversionen existiert?

Globale Vorlagen sind ein seit langem geäußerter Wunsch, siehe T52329 und T121470, aber weit außerhalb dessen, was aktuell für den FileImporter realisierbar ist.

Es wäre auch nicht richtig, die Hinweistexte manuell anzupassen. Der französischsprachige Hinweistext darf nicht den Vorlagennamen von der französischsprachigen Wikipedia enthalten, denn welche Sprache der Benutzer des FileImporters auf Commons für sich eingestellt hat (z. B. Französisch), ist unabhängig davon, von welchem Quell-Wiki importiert wird (z. B. dewp). Der Text würde dann fälschlich darum bitten, in dewp {{Image sur Commons}} zu benutzen. Da hast du natürlich recht. In dem Fall müsste der Hinweistext dynamisch sein, dh. es müsste das Template des Quell-Wikis eingebunden werden. Aber da hattest du ja schon zu recht gesagt, dass das von der wartung zu aufwendig ist. Z thomas (talk) 06:20, 11 October 2018 (UTC)

Bild-PD-alt-100 und PD-old-assumed

Es geht um folgende Fehlermeldung:

„Die Datei kann nicht importiert werden, da sie als Vorlage:Bild-PD-alt-100 markiert wurde. Wikimedia Commons erlaubt keine solchen Dateien.“

Das ist aber nur teilweise richtig: auf Commons gibt es c:Template:PD-old-assumed – allerdings ist die Frist hier 120 Jahre (individuelle Abwägung st also notwendig).

Zum Hintergrund: Bei Bildern, die zwar sehr alt sind, deren Urheber aber „nicht bekannt oder nicht mit vernünftigem Aufwand zu ermitteln ist“ (Zitat aus W:Biderrechte), ist die Situation komplizierter. Auf de-wiki können solche Bilder mit der Lizenzvorlage {{Bild-PD-alt-100}} hochgeladen werden.

Ich hielte es für sinnvoll, wenn man zumindest erfahrenen Benutzern (z.B. solchen mit Autopatrol-Recht auf Commons) eine einfache Möglichkeit gäbe, dieWarnmeldung zu überschreiben, und idealerweise gleich die neue Lizenz (hier {{PD-old-assumed}}) anzugeben. Erst kürzlich haben wir diese Frage hier angerissen. Der Prozess für solche Bilder ist aktuell einfach nicht eindeutig genug, um ihn überhaupt per Software abbilden zu können. Doch das sollte nicht hier sondern auf de:WP:DÜP diskutiert werden.

Eine mögliche Lösung wäre eine neue Vorlage, mit der manuell überprüfte und für Commons-kompatibel befundene Bilder kurz vor dem Transfer markiert werden. Bild-PD-alt-100 wird dafür entfernt. Erst dann ist der Transfer möglich. Zwar hat de:Vorlage:Bild-PD-alt-100 schon einen Parameter namens "Commons", dieser ist aber nicht klar dokumentiert und Verwendung und genaue Bedeutung unklar (wenn man z. B. "Commons=nein" einträgt, verschwindet trotzdem der Hinweis, dass die Datei nicht nach Commons transferiert werden sollte). Thiemo Kreuz (WMDE) 07:24, 19 October 2018 (UTC)
