MediaWiki requires users to confirm their email addresses before using the email feature to prevent issues like fake addresses, bounced replies, or spam. Logging in and editing pages doesn't require email confirmation. Also, providing an email address during registration is optional.

Check your preferences settings to see if your email address has been confirmed.

If you change your email address, you will be automatically sent another email to allow you to confirm it again.

How to confirm an email

1. In the preferences settings, navigate to the 利用者情報 section, and go to the メールの設定 sub-section. Below the sentence メールアドレスの確認: you will see a pop-up message, click on あなたのメールアドレスを確認.
2. A confirmation code will be sent to your email address. Click on the link to confirm your email address.
