| The Wikimedia Foundation may take part in the 2026 Google Summer of Code. The list of accepted organizations will most likely be announced around February 2026. If the WMF applies and is accepted, this will be the page on which to list proposed projects. If you are considering being a mentor on a project in the upcoming GSoC, you can get started already, by identifying and connecting with potential co-mentors. At least two mentors are required per project, with relevant experience, mentorship spirit and time to properly onboard and mentor interns.
