Eduardo Gamero Mir (Palma de Mallorca, 17 de Octubre de 1942). Está considerado como uno de los gurús del Turismo de las Islas Baleares (Illes Balears) y de España. Empresario turístico y político mallorquín. Fue Diputado en el Congreso de los Diputados en la VI Legislatura y Senador en la VII legislatura. Su formación académica fue en Dirección y Gestión Empresarial, Marketing y Relaciones Públicas y Turismo, y habla cinco idiomas. En 1969 empezó a gestionar y dirigir establecimientos hoteleros. Fue Director del Hotel Cala Murada (1970-1980) y Director de la Agrupación Hotelera de las Zonas Turísticas de España (1980-1987). En 1987 a 1996 fue nombrado Director General de Promoción de la Consejería de Turismo del Govern Balear y Presidente de Ibatur. Elegido Diputado en las Elecciones Generales Españolas de 1996, fue Vocal de la Comisión de Industria, Energía y Turismo. Elegido Senador por Mallorca en las Elecciones Generales Españolas de 2000, y fue el Senador más votado hasta esa fecha. Fue Viceportavoz de la Comisión de Industria, Energía y Turismo. Cofundador y Presidente del Instituto para la Calidad Turística Hotelera (ICHE) y también Presidente del Instituto para La Calidad Turística Española (ICTE). En 2003 renunció como Senador en favor de Bartolomé Seguí Prat y fue nombrado nuevamente Director General de Promoción por el Gobierno Balear. En 2012 fue nombrado Presidente de Fomento del Turismo de Mallorca que sigue presidiendo en la actualidad.
