the buttons still don't appear

I looked in the code (of version 1.39) and managed to get it working with:
$wgShareUseBasicButtons = false;
$wgShareUsePlainLinks = false;
@Agent Isai: I'm wondering about adding a share icon (something like this: 
) to sit somewhere near the page title, and when it's clicked a popup would open with a list of various sharing options. What do you think? Could this be a useful addition to the Share extension?
