- For anyone having the same problem: there is a new SVG timeline project by the University of Augsburg:

timelineposition=now possible?
editHello. Great extension, but one thing is a bit of a problem. If you have a very wide timeline i.e. you have timeline items that are months in the past and/or months in the future as well as items that are current (e.g. project tasks). In this case timelineposition=start/middle/end is not much use if you want to see what is going on currently. The timelineposition gives no way to center the display on the current date. You have to scroll about to the current date position manually, which is a pain. Is it possible to add this enhancement?
Auto grow timeline?
editCurrently you have to choose a static size for your timeline. If the number of items goes beyond your static selection you have a problem. Now, the bars are a set size, so would it not be relatively easy to calculate how many pixels high the timeline has to be to automatically make the timeline the right size to display all items?
BC Dates
editHas anyone figured out how to get Timeline to recognize and plot BC dates that are stored in SMW's "Type:Date"? I imagine it has something to do with the timeline requiring ISO 8601 formatted dates, but I've found very little help in other forums. I'm sure that anyone interested in history or history education would appreciate any input.
