The following discussion has been transferred from Meta-Wiki.
Any user names refer to users of that site, who are not necessarily users of MediaWiki.org (even if they share the same username).

I get this error when activing this extension...

Warning: ini_set() [function.ini-set]: A session is active. You cannot change the session module's ini settings at this time. in /home/***/public_html/wikis/gamewikipedia/includes/GlobalFunctions.php on line 2033

been using the old smf_auth extension for a while, but using smf 1.1.1 and mediawiki 1.9.2 people started having problems logging in. when i try this thing here, it gives me a "wrong password"... really really weird. i'm logged into the SMF and i am the admin.... anything I can do?

Cannot logout?

edit

I've tried to use the wiki-logoutbutton. It says Iäm logged out, but immediately when I go to the main page I'm logged in again. Iäve also tried to logout from smf, and reload the wiki, but the same results.

New info: the logout-thing seemsrelated to

[client 192.168.1.50] PHP Warning: ini_set(): A session is active. You cannot change the session module's ini settings at this time. in /srv/www/html/wiki/includes/User.php on line 622

I opened a new browser (different brand), pointed my browser to the wiki, and WHAM - it says that Iäm logged in with a username. Trying to access the settings gives me a wiki loginpage.

I have this issue as well, anyone have a fix?

Warning: ini_set() [function.ini-set]: A session is active. You cannot change the session module's ini settings at this time.

wiki 1.9.3 smf 1.1.2

I'm getting the same error.

1.0.x does include SSI.php

edit

On the main extension page, you mention that one of the requirements is a working SSI.php - "not the 1.0.x branch". SMF has always had SSI.php, even the 1.0.x branch.

Return to "SMF AutoAuthenticate" page.
