Bug: MediaWiki:Regexblock-expire-duration cannot be localized

Localization fails, as MediaWiki won't accept localized blocking durations. For example: MediaWiki will accept "1 hour" but not "1 Stunde" (German translation of "1 hour"), not even if your Wiki is German. --Church of emacs 00:35, 7 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

The part of the code used to generate the dropdown is a total hack and should be rewritten to match SpecialBlockip.php even somewhat (also then it could use the core message MediaWiki:Ipboptions instead of having its own message for that, too). --Sayuri 14:07, 7 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Request: More Examples

Is it possible to add more examples? I try to use this extension to block spammers that only count a number up to create hundreds of users but it does not seems to work the way I thought. If there were more examples and maybe a details info about what kind of regexp should be used, that would help.

Problem: No longer blocks in mw 1.21+

The stats show the user being blocked, but they are still able to edit.

Logged in the stats as

Ajrtest blocked 'Ajrtest' on 'db_name' at '12:46, 28 March 2013', logging from address '000.000.000.000'

But the edits still go through.

Any suggestions or ideas? Ajraddatz (Talk) 12:47, 28 March 2013 (UTC)Reply
