I'm not sure I understand the question. I don't work for the Wikimedia Foundation, but as the extension developer I don't see why not.

The extension is not installed on any Wikimedia project, so it'll have to pass review queue first and a security review. However I cannot tell if this can be or cannot be installed as it's not a decision I can take.

Use the latest version of this extension.

I am getting the following error:

Error: 1064 You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MariaDB server version for the right syntax to use near '\xEF\xBB\xBF-- /* DatabaseBase::sourceFile( /home/user/domain***' at line 1 (localhost)

Could you help me correct the syntax for MariaDB or point to any convertion tool?
