March 2010 note
editNote - you might wanna rename this one to "For Wikimedians"... since it's not only 'pedias it'll roll out to. Philippe (WMF) 22:49, 30 March 2010 (UTC)
How will LiquidThread work on high traffic pages?
editHow will LiquidThread work on high traffic pages, such as the Village pump or in a very heated debate. On traditional talk pages I could use a diff over two hundred revisions and it will display all new (and edited) paragraphs on one screen, ready to browse through. How will I deal with many changes on a single page with LQ? Do I really have to click each thread or even each new message? --H-stt 10:27, 31 March 2010 (UTC)
Splitting / Combining Posts
editCan I "break out" a few posts to start a new thread on the same page? Or can I move posts between threads on the same page?--Ainali 19:18, 4 May 2011 (UTC)
Removing Vandalism on a LQT page
editThe FAQ suggests click More/Edit on a garbage LQT post, then delete all text (i.e. make it blank) and thus it won't be displayed... BUT! you cannot submit a blank LQT post (validation popup error prevents you). So, how do I "clean up vandalistic or unwanted posts?", as a non-administrator? --Gth-au (talk) 08:03, 14 August 2012 (UTC)
Is LQT really that useful/beneficial?
editIMHO the LQT pain points seem to outweigh the (rather mild) aesthetic benefit. Admin-only maintenance (seems centralised, as opposed to the distributed editting ethos of a wiki); poor visibility of what has changed (see high traffic question above); little or no development (refer to 3.0 stalled status). I'm guessing for a page with a huge number of questions, it might make management of what is outstanding a bit easier, but surely a few subpages could be used, instead a whole new GUI for everyone (readers and editors) to wrap their heads around? --Gth-au (talk) 08:03, 14 August 2012 (UTC)
