The trick about <div title="xxx" /> seems to be irrelevant

AFAICT, reading the sourcecode, I see not a bit about alignment of div, only alignment of <span id="dw-NNN" title="something">.

Does someone knows if this was once functional ? Or if I'm mistaken...
