Extension talk:Cargo/SMW migration guide

Type of official language

edit

If SWM type of the Official Language is Page, the Cargo type should be Page too, shouldn't it?

Oh, oops! Right you are - I just fixed it. Yaron Koren (talk) 14:58, 26 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

Removing extensions and Property Pages

edit

For the migration guide it would be useful to have a list of commonly used SMW extensions that could be removed after migrating to Cargo. Likewise, if there is an easy or recommended way to find and delete obsolete Property Pages that would be useful.

I just added a few sentences to the documentation about deleting property pages - that's a good idea. Let me know if any part of it doesn't make sense (or feel free to change it yourself). As for removing SMW extensions... if a user is getting rid of SMW, they should presumably get rid of all extensions that use it, i.e. all extensions that start with "Semantic". Would it really be useful to list these? Yaron Koren (talk) 02:26, 1 June 2017 (UTC)Reply
Thanks so much Yaron. I guess I'll have to reinstall SMW to find all this property pages after all. Regarding the extensions question, it was just an idea. I think I've figured out what to dismantle already. Obviously, the semantic_ extensions are out, but there's also Maps which may not be obvious and I was't sure about possible others. --Anrake (talk) 06:28, 2 June 2017 (UTC)Reply
Oh, that's right, there's Maps - I forgot about that one. Maybe that's the one common non-"Semantic" extension that can be removed. Yaron Koren (talk) 14:02, 2 June 2017 (UTC)Reply
