This extension comes with MediaWiki 1.35 and above. Thus you do not have to download it again. However, you still need to follow the other instructions provided.

The SecureLinkFixer extension automatically rewrites URLs to HTTPS if the domain always requires HTTPS. It uses the Mozilla HSTS preload list for the list of domains.
The rewrite is done on-the-fly as pages are parsed. No edits to the wiki are made, and the page source retains the original URL.
Installation
edit- Download and move the extracted
SecureLinkFixer
folder to yourextensions/
directory.
Developers and code contributors should install the extension from Git instead, using:cd extensions/
git clone https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/mediawiki/extensions/SecureLinkFixer - Add the following code at the bottom of your LocalSettings.php file:
wfLoadExtension( 'SecureLinkFixer' );
- Done – Navigate to Special:Version on your wiki to verify that the extension is successfully installed.
Notes
editThe list of domains is updated weekly by a script in the slf Toolforge tool.
