The iDisplay extension allows MediaWiki pages to embed external web pages. It also allows setting an option to put a blocking page in front of it, so you prevent loading the page until the user wants to load the page.

Parser functionsEdit

The extension has one parser function:

  • #idisplay displays a webpage.

  • Download, extract y extrae los archivos en el directorio «iDisplay» dentro del directorio extensions/ existente.
  • Añade el siguiente código a tu LocalSettings.php (preferiblemente al final):
    require_once "$IP/extensions/iDisplay/iDisplay.php";
  •   Hecho – Navega a Special:Version en tu wiki para verificar que la apariencia se haya instalado correctamente.

To display pages call the following:

  • The URL you want to display
  • The WIDTH of the iFrame
  • The HEIGHT of the iFrame
  • If SAFE == 1 then there will be the blocking page in between.

For example:

You do not need to define all parameters, but you must keep the order!

Page fittingEdit

You might cannot get the iframe to fit the page. A guest user suggested this workaround / fix:

Paste this code into your "common.css" page ("MediaWiki:Common.css")

iframe {
	width: 100% !important;
	height: * !important;
	min-width: 600px;
	min-height: 500px;
