Blog is useful to publish news to all wiki readers. All users with author rights can write blog entries. The articles will be stored in the separate namespace "Blog". It is possible to start several blogs in one wiki.

IntroductionEdit

This extension is used to share news articles in the wiki (news about the organisation, changes in the wiki e.a), without setting up a seperate blog software.

Usage / FeaturesEdit

  • Tag: Integrate the blog into any article pages (or main page) with a simple tag <bs:blog />.
  • Text box: The tag creates a text box on the top for users with blog editing rights.
  • Namespace: All blog articles will be automatically placed in an seperate namespace "Blog".
  • Comments: The discussion page of each blog article is used for comments.
  • Category filter: Articles from a particular category can be displayed in the blog by using the cat argument in the blog tag, for example <blog cat="Wiki" />.

RequirementsEdit

Blog is shipped with the BlueSpice free edition and requires the extension BlueSpice Foundation.

ConfigurationEdit

Preferences (BlueSpice admin page): change configuration how images are displayed, number of words until the "read more" break and many more.
