The Ajax Show Editors extension allows you to see who is editing a page that you're editing at the same time. The extension displays a box containing other users' user names on action=edit
(as well as on preview, action=submit
).
InstallationEdit
- Download and place the file(s) in a directory called
AjaxShowEditors
in yourextensions/
folder. - Add the following code at the bottom of your
LocalSettings.php
:wfLoadExtension( 'AjaxShowEditors' );
- Run the update script which will automatically create the necessary database tables that this extension needs.
- Done – Navigate to Special:Version on your wiki to verify that the extension is successfully installed.
ConfigurationEdit
The extension has only one configuration variable, $wgAjaxShowEditorsTimeout
; its default value is 60
(seconds); it's the timeout in seconds after which a user is considered as no longer editing the page in question.
