Glossary of terms used by Edit check project.
- Edit check
- A set of tools that aims provide actionable feedback about Wikipedia policies to users while they are editing. Not to be confused with References check.
- References check
- A type of edit check to encourage users to add citations in articles. It is the first check the Editing team released.
- Deployed/Activated
- Deployed wikis are wikis where Edit check is available, as the regular experience, as an A/B test , or as a shadow feature.
- Activated wikis are wikis where at least one Edit check was recorded. This edit check is tagged in history pages
- Multi-check
- When multiple edit checks are displayed at the same time, we call this state "multi-check".
- Proofreading state
- State of an edit, where the user clicks on Publish changes. This is where References check is displayed.
