DataViz Seattle hackathon
What: Join us as we host a one-day informal hackathon in Seattle, Washington. The focus will be around using the Graph extension to create interactive graphs, charts, and maps for Wikipedia. Demonstrations of how this extension allows editors to create static and interactive visualizations can be found on MediaWiki.org. We will meet with the Vega team from the UW Interactive Data Lab to discuss how Vega should evolve.
When: 10:00 am on Friday, July 22nd
Where: University of Washington in Seattle, Washington. We will meet in the Data Science Studio, on the 6th floor of the Physics and Astronomy Tower. (3910 15th Ave NE, Seattle, WA)

Who: Yuri Astrakhan, Senior Software Engineer from the Discovery department at the Wikimedia Foundation, with the support of the University of Washington Interactive Data Lab and the UW eScience Institute.
Note: This is a day before the OpenStreetMap State of the Map US conference.
