This page tracks the history of significant events that impact Article Feedback 5 since its first experimental deployment. The current list focuses more on events that impact metrics collection.
- Dec. 20, 2011: First experimental deployment of 3 feedback forms for A/B testing
- Jan. 3, 2012: Random article size doubled in size
- Jan. 9, 2012: Patch to fix Option 1 of the feedback form
- Jan. 10, 2012: AFT5 enabled on Google doodle article Nicholas Steno
- Jan. 11, 2012: Feedback trigger and overlay widget deployed
- Jan. 18, 2012: SOPA blackout
- Mar. 9, 2012: Start AFT5 Stage 2 test
- Apr. 19, 2012: Start AFT5 Stage 3 test
- June 14, 2012: CTA 1&3 were being shown, switched to 100% CTA5
- June 21, 2012: Switched to 100% CTA4 & back again to 100% CTA5
- July 3, 2012: Switched from 100% CTA5 to bucketed CTA (50% CTA1, 10% CTA2, 20% CTA4, 20% CTA5)
- July 3, 2012: AFT5 deployed on 1% of English Wikipedia
- July 5, 2012: AFT5 deployed on 2% of En-Wiki
- July 10, 2012: AFT5 deployed on 3% of En-Wiki
- July 17, 2012: AFT5 deployed on 5% of En-Wiki + announcement
- July 23, 2012: AFT5 deployed on 10% of En-Wiki
- July 24, 2012: Stopped displaying CTA2 to logged in, confirmed users
- July 30, 2012: AFT5 Site-wide outage
- July 31, 2012: Stopped displaying CTA1 to logged in, confirmed users
- August 07, 2012: Reset bucketing: percentages stayed the same but people got to see a fresh CTA
- Aug. 14, 2012: Enabled Watchlist filter + reset CTAs again
- Aug. 21, 2012: Added CTA6, bucketing now is 40% CTA1, 10% CTA2, 20% CTA4, 20% CTA5, 10% CTA6
- Sep. 4, 2012: Don't keep people in buckets but refresh CTA upon every pageload - same percentages (deployed on Sep. 7)
- Sep. 7, 2012: Prevent users from moderating their own posts
- Sep. 27, 2012: Enabled 6 new abuse filters so they disallow swear words without getting disabled
- Oct. 11, 2012: Show 'Most relevant' filter by default to all users (not just readers) + sticky filters
- Oct. 18, 2012: Changed abuse filter settings to only disallow short posts with 2 characters or less
- Oct. 25, 2012: Start collecting data for edit conversions (CTA1) and account creations (CTA4)
- Nov. 1, 2012: Change bucketing to be 100% CTA4 for logged out users (and 90% CTA5 + 10% CTA6 for editors). Also changed CTA4 to turn the Login button into a simple text link, rather than a large button.
