How do you get external link text?

I can get the external links with prop=extlinks, but i can get the text. Eg. i can get "www.source.com" but cant get "visit source"

i hope made myself clear.

I don't believe you can short of parsing the text of the page manually.

Why does extlinks use eloffset instead of elcontinue?

See title. This inconsistency is likely to surprise people who assume continues are module prefix + continue, even though the "continue" API element does use eloffset too.
