Here's a very useful site to deal with captive portals: http://neverssl.com. As the name implies, it does not support SSL - and thus, it is a useful bookmark in all kinds of captive portal situations, as it will ensure the necessary redirect happens, whatever SSL, HSTS, etc. settings are active.

Hey @DTankersley (WMF). Unfortunately I can't reccomend any bike shop that offers rentals, but I've been told there's an app called Donkey republic where you can rent bikes that are parked randomly around Barcelona. Hope it suits your needs!

In Barcelona there's a very special super computer: MareNostrum – according to there homepage the do guided tours. Maybe this would be a cool idea for a side event?

I would be interested! ;)

Hey Michael, thanks for your proposal! Mare Nostrum is a cool place to visit indeed, but unfortunately we will finally visit another (cool) facility on Friday. However, if you are interested in scheduling a visit to Mare Nostrum (Mo-Fri, 9am-7pm), using the "Self-organised Thursday" etherpad would be a good idea, I'm sure other people will be interested too.

No problem. ALBA is interesting too!
