Changes needed for MediaWiki 1.22 and newer edit

I've installed mediawiki v1.22.0 and upgraded my old wiki mw-config and update.php. However when I load the wiki, I see this message:

I replaced addHTML with SecureHTML and that got rid of the addHTML errors.

How to run php through this extension edit

Could you please describe this stuff in detail? And give some examples.Thanks
